This came to us as two units, in a box full of ‘bits’ and we were asked to make one functioning unit.
Other than screws, it turned out that nothing was missing so we ended up getting two working units.
It was more a fun challenge than anything else because one display was totally dead and as shown below someone may have been practicing their soldering skills because vias were totally missing. It was a complete mess.
We had to redo ribbon cables, other board to board connectors, a lot of work.
Both displays had to be hard wired using new coloured ribbon cables as we didn’t have a via repair option at the time.
The power supplies were sorted, the fuses and transformer wires were made good.
It was an interesting although laborious project.
