Elka Rhapsody in for repair.
Faults:
- It was in for a full service and
- to find the fault with the tuning which wasn’t allowing her to tune correctly.
Beautiful keyboard to work on albeit with rather grainy service manual.
The internal cable harnesses are a work of art.
Everything is easy to access.
Works Done:
The works ended up quite extensive due to the age.
- The power supply was completely rebuilt.
- The fuses, and holders, were all corroded so replaced.
- The faders were cleaned.
- The buss bar was cleaned.
- The IC sockets were changed for turned pin ones.
- The electrolytic capacitors were replaced on the main divider boards.
- The tuning issue was resolved with a new potentiometer.
- The power resistor was re-seated with fresh heat sink compound.
She sounds wonderful.
