Nord Electro 6HP Repair
A Nord Electro 6HP is in for repair as keys have started to drop out along with velocity. It also needed a serious clean up inside and out.
It had a total keybed rebuild with complete new contact sets. As a constantly gigging board the hammer felts had taken a real beating too so this was replaced and the keys all re-greased.
The Fatar TP100 has a weighted hammer action mechanism. Its an all plastic approach and care needs to be taken when removing the keys due to the central cantilever mechanism which lifts the hammers.
On the most used section of the keyboard, which was the middle octaves, the hammer felt was almost totally disintegrated. It wasn’t so bad on the very lower and upper octaves.
