Description

Philips Philicorda 752 Service:

Yet another Philips Philicorda 752 Service. This unit came in rather dirty, but was kind of working, it just needed a service mainly because many keys were either not working or not playing all their respective octaves. This is the fully transistor based version of the earlier valve 751. It has a built in spring reverb which adds a lot of character and does sound quite a bit different to the scaled down 754 version.

Faults:

  • The pots were all extremely scratchy.
  • Not all the keys were playing.

Works Done:

  • Buss bar cleaned.
  • Keys cleaned.
  • Contact springs cleaned.
  • Kobs ckleaned.
  • Pots cleaned.
  • A severely bent keystop was re-bent to shape.

Its all been sorted and sounding perfect again.
