Yamaha DX7 Repair
A Yamaha DX7 Repair – It was pretty much dead. It did make some odd sounds via the cartridge but it was not booting.
Removed a badly installed battery holder and replaced with a standard type PCB battery. ad to repair traces where this installation had caused damage to the circuit board.
A new screen was installed, the power supply was recapped. The keybed was cleaned and the boot issue was resolved.
All new tact switches were installed as many were failing or already dead.
Good as new now.
