Yamaha SPX90

Three exceptionally nice examples that we have cleaned and serviced. (only three left for sale individually). One with a brand new replacement LCD the other two are still original LCD’s.

The power supply, not the greatest of designs by Yamaha, is highly susceptible to failure due mainly to capacitor issues and overheating. The PSU’s have been refurbished and voltages tested.

The Yamaha SPX90 not only provides a wide range of multi-effects it is totally user friendly. Its easy to use, and program, without even really reading the manual. There are no complicated sub-menus etc its a doddle to change / save / name new patches.

The LCD screen has been replaced on one unit, the other two units still have the original LCD. We chose to use LCD rather than OLED because we think the really bright LCD’s just look cool and offer a fantastic viewing angle along with the illumination.

With all the works done we are confident this will keep providing great effects for many years to come.

The CR2032 batterys have been replaced and date marked.

Includes a 30 day warranty . If there are any fault issues with it during that time then simply send it back to us, well packaged, to arrive here in the condition it left us, and we will either provide a full refund or discuss options for further repair (depending on whats wrong)….which is highly unlikely as its been soak tested in our studio for some months. The only thing we would suggest with old kit like this is…..don’t leave it on 24/7. And make sure there is no big heat buildup in the rack its in as this is vintage kit that needs a bit of ventilation.

The two LCD images show an original SPX90 display which is yellow on black. If we do replace the display it looks like the one of the right which is more black on yellow. It’s rather bright so doesn’t really photograph that well. This isn’t an OLED either, its a direct replacement fit for the existing unit. This replacement, we think, really does make a massive difference and the viewing angle is ‘almost’ from anywhere you want to look from (compared to the original).
