Access Virus Ti Repair2
This Access Virus Ti came in with a broken audio output A socket.
We noticed that a couple of chassis screws had rounded head. These were hard to remove and we replaced them for new ones. The more awkward one was a rounded screw holding the jack board PCB. This needed drilling out and replacing as there was no room for any other type of tool to try and release it.
A very clean looking unit though. Battery checked out fine and inside was little dust.
The broken socket had been forced so many times it had sheared the pcb pad from the via so a small jumper wire was soldered in to resolve the issue.
The socket was replaced and all was well again.
