Description

Roland Vintage Power Switch

These are genuine unused (not pulled) NOS DPST Matsushita chassis mounting mains power switches.

The original Roland Part Code was ESB-70294 for the 240V matsushita variant and SDK1P (Alps) for the 100V/117V variant. The Alps version is only single pole single throw but this switch can still be used by ignoring the other set of contacts.

The only difference is that this switch has a higher rating and the holes are not threaded so you will need a nut and bolt (or you can add a thread).

The original part was rated at 5A/40A 250V. This one is rated at 5A/80A 250V.

The 5A refers to the safe limit for breaking the circuit (turning the power off) and for continuous use. The 80A is the maximum safe load capacity once the contacts are closed (when the power is already on).

We have successfully used this is a CR8000 restoration and it saves a huge amount of time trying to open up, clean and re-assemble the original one.

Also ideal if the power switch cap shaft is broken as the on/off return spring will not be working properly.
