Description
AC-50 Industrial Plant Room Noise Panels
AC-50 Industrial Plant Room Noise Panels are heavy-duty, high-specification acoustic panels engineered to reduce high-decibel noise and eliminate reverberation in demanding industrial and commercial spaces. Featuring a multi-perforated, pre-lacquered galvanised steel tray face with multi-sized holes and a high-density 70kg/m³ mineral wool core, these 50mm-thick panels deliver Class A sound absorption alongside excellent impact resistance.

What are the technical Specifications of AC-50 Acoustic Panels?
The structural, acoustic and physical properties of the AC-50 panels include:
- Acoustic Performance: Achieves absorption Class A when surface mounted.
- Core Material: A high density 70kg/m3 mineral wool core faced with a black acoustic tissue.
- Outer shell: Multi-perforated pre-laquered steel tray sheet for durability.
- Fire Safety Rating: Certified B,s1,d0 (Class0) for stringent building regulations.
- Standard Dimensions: 3000x350mm or 2500x350mm lengths with a low profile 50mm thickness.
- Weight Profile: Lightweight design for only 8kg/m2 for minimal structural load.
- Aesthetic finish: Sleek industrial light grey colour profile (similar to RAL 9002)
Where are AC-50 Acoustic Panels Used?
These durable, hard wearing industrial acoustic noise lining panels are purpose built for both indoor and outdoor environments that demand tough impact resistant surfaces.
- Industrial Facilities: Manufacturing plants, factories, workshops and test bays.
- Mechanical Spaces: Plant rooms, HVAC enclosures and heavy machinery areas.
- Sports and Leisure Complexes: Sports halls, indoor arenas and swimming pools.
- External Building Facades: Can be mounted vertically on exterior walls to intercept environmental noise pollution.
How to Install and Maintain AC-50 Acoustic Panels?
- Mounting Mechanism: Secured seamlessly using light gauge steel U channels (supplied in 3000mm lengths)
- Onsite modification: Easily custom cut onsite using standard metal snips or a metal saw with a sharp knife for the inner insulation core.
- Demountability: Panels are held securely by fixing trims, making them fully reuseable, easy to assemble and simple to reuse in new locations.
- Outdoor Applications: Must be installed vertically with small drainage holes drilled into the fixing trims (one for each section) to allow natural rainwater egress.
- Routine Maintenance: Requires virtually zero upkeep; surfaces can be quickly wiped clean with a damp cloth.

General Installation

Usually the IP50/01 are fixed in place and the AC50 slot into them. The ends and top can then be finished with the IP50/01.
Alternatively The IP50/01 can be used for all four sides to provide for the same visual ‘border’ look.
If panels need to extend longer than 3m then the IP50/03 are used as joining sections.
The IP50/01 are used for framing the panels around openings.
