Description

Roland Juno60 Repair:

A Roland Juno60 repair/restoration:

It is going to be a bit of a restoration as well as a repair.

Unused for many years, it most certainly need a decent clean inside and out as well as a full service.

Faults:

  • One voice not working so it will only play 5 notes not the full six note polyphony.
  • It sounds uneven as it rotates around the working voices.
  • Non functioning keys.
  • Scratchy faders.
  • Bent fader shafts
  • Disintegrated dust covers.
  • Noisy volume control.
  • Internal rust.
  • Bender end stops broken.
  • Top rubber closing stopper loose inside.
  • Missing fader caps
  • LFO trigger button broken.

On the plus side…the battery was still just over 3V.

Works Done:

  • Missing voice issue resolved
  • Faders stripped down, cleaned and greased.
  • New dust covers made.
  • Rust treated.
  • Bender stop remade.
  • Fader caps found.
  • Volume pot opened  and cleaned.
  • Key contacts cleaned.
  • Switches cleaned.
  • Power supply recapped.
  • Capacitors on chorus board replaced.
  • LFO trigger button repaired.

Back to full health and looking / sounding fabulous again.
